For anyone who knows about my recent journey to transform my eating and lifestyle to one that’s healthier yet still fulfilling from a food perspective (which I chronicled briefly here), you’ll understand why I was excited to get my hands on this next book: Karina Melvin’s Artful Eating.
In it, she talks about why “lasting weight loss is not about what you eat; it’s about how and why you eat.”
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, or trying to be overall healthier – like myself – it’s important to focus on making a more permanent lifestyle change rather than seeking a “quick fix.” Karina’s book is full of resources to help you do just that. Each of the twelve chapters is part of a bigger picture to help you accomplish a new mindset to accomplish your goals. They also includes recipes that are smart and sensible but also satisfying.
Happy Tuesday, Hungry Bookworms! I’m excited to share this brand new literary cookbook with you. From Alison Walsh, A Literary Tea Party, brings together many of your favorite books and pairs them with recipes and tea blends.
From childhood favorites The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Treasure Island to adult classics like Romeo and Juliet and Sherlock Holmes, this cookbook has something for everyone! It’s a short little cookbook (76 pages in my digital version), but I found it to be a perfect length to keep it from getting overwhelming.
Though the weather in the midwest isn’t exactly cooperating, I’m forging ahead into spring! I bought some beautiful bright red tulips to decorate my kitchen. I’ve also decided to celebrate the warmer weather ahead with a cookbook giveaway!
I have an extra copy of the brand new America The Great Cookbook: The Food We Make for the People We Love from 100 of Our Finest Chefs and Food Heroes by Joe Yonan that I’m itching to share! I have a copy myself, and it’s an absolutely gorgeous cookbook.
See? The cover is intricate and bright, making it an eye-catching addition to any cookbook collection. And inside, you’ll find beautiful photo spreads featuring 100 American chefs and their delicious dishes.
If you’d like a chance to win a copy of this cookbook, hit the button below. Additional entries can be earned by sharing the contest with your friends on Facebook and Twitter or following me on Facebook or Instagram. The giveaway will run for two weeks, and I’ll randomly select a winner on Sunday, April 22, 2018 and notify them via email.
I’m excited to announce that one of my blog recipes is featured in a new e-cookbook! Even better news – it’s free! This cookbook is a compilation of recipes chosen/created by authors to go along with their latest books from Kindle Press. Jim Nelson, author of one of my favorite books this year – Bridge Daughter, kindly asked if he could use my recipe for Zucchini Pancakes for his entry. And look, it’s right there:
Since the new Netflix series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life just came out last weekend, I’m taking this opportunity to spend a whole week in Stars Hollow, so to speak. This is the first of three posts, all including recipes found in the Eat Like a Gilmore cookbook.
